Hi, ... and would like to reference to your project in my work Would you like to tell us about your work? I would be interested! I would like to ask is there any good guides or tutorials that would help me in installing the Boost++ Libraries because i cannot find one. Unfortunately, I do not know a good guide for Boost. I know that there is the Getting Started Guide on the Boost website. If you find a better guide, please tell us. The answer also depends heavily on your operating system. On an Ubuntu Linux system it would be enough to call sudo apt install libboost-dev to get everything installed where it should be. On Windows you have to download and compile/install the stuff yourself (as far as I know, I'm no Windows expert). If you need Boost only for LibPTP, you have luck also on Windows. As far as I remember LibPTP only depends on header-only libraries from Boost. This means it should be enough to download Boost and tell OMNeT++ where to find the Boost headers. If you are on Windows do the following: - Download Boost, unzip it somewhere, e.g. C:\boost
- In OMNeT++, open the project settings of LibPTP (right-click -> Project Settings)
- Go to C/C++ General -> Paths and Symbols and switch to the Includes tab
- Add the path where you have copied Boost (e.g. C:\boost)
Thanks for bringing this topic up, I realize that this information is missing in our Install Guide In your case LibPTP can't be compiled because it depends on the circular_buffer implementation of Boost. This should be a header-only library. regards, Wolfgang

Hi, Thanks for bringing this topic up, I realize that this information is missing in our Install Guide I have updated our Install Guide, it now contains a description of the dependency on Boost's circular_buffer and how to install it under Ubuntu and Windows. regards, Wolfgang

Dear Wolfgang,
I installed the Boost++ Libraries according to the Install Guide, but it didn't work. The following error occurred: Errors occurred during the build. Errors running builder 'OMNeT++ Makefile Builder' on project 'libPTP'. Path must include project and resource name: /boost
Do I need to set the path of Assembly, GNU C and GNU C++ to 'C:\boost'of the Includes tab when I do the step ‘Add the path where you have installed Boost (e.g. C:\boost)’?
Looking forward to your reply. Thank you.
Best Regards, Fei

Hello Fei,
Please provide more details. What is your operating system (which Windows version)? Which version of boost did you install? At which step of the install guide do you get this error message? Did all steps before that step work without error?
regards, Wolfgang
